We are committed to ensuring the UCPX barcamp 2026 is accessible and inclusive for all participants.
Our Commitment
The UCPX Network is dedicated to creating events that are accessible to everyone, regardless of disability or access needs. We are working to organize the 1st UCPX barcamp according to the recommendations outlined in the Zero Project Conference Accessibility Guidelines.
Venue Accessibility
FH Technikum Wien (Höchstädtplatz 5, 1200 Vienna) provides the following accessibility features:
- Wheelchair Access: The venue is fully wheelchair accessible with ramps and elevators
- Accessible Parking: Designated accessible parking spaces are available near the main entrance
- Accessible Restrooms: Accessible toilets are available on all floors
- Public Transport & step-free arrival: The venue is reachable via U6 (Dresdner Straße) and several tram/bus lines. We will communicate recommended connections (including walking distances from the nearest stops) ahead of the event. For real-time updates and accessible route planning (e.g., elevator status), we recommend the official Wiener Linien WienMobil App: wienerlinien.at/wienmobil-app
Event Accommodations
Dietary Requirements
All food and drinks are included in your ticket. We provide 100% vegan and vegetarian options, sourced organically and locally. If you have specific dietary requirements, allergies, or intolerances, please inform us in advance so we can ensure appropriate alternatives are available.
Communication Support
We encourage you to contact us in advance to discuss your communication needs. Examples of what we are aware of and may be able to explore include:
- Sign language interpretation
- Real-time captioning services
- Materials in alternative formats (large print, braille, digital accessible formats)
- Assistive listening devices
While we cannot guarantee all specialized services, we will work with you to explore what might be possible and do our best to support your participation.
Mobility & Seating
We are committed to providing:
- Wheelchair-accessible seating areas in all session rooms
- Quiet spaces available for participants who need breaks
- Service animals are welcome

Visual & Sensory Needs
We are committed to providing:
- High-contrast signage throughout the venue
- Accessible session materials available upon request
- Assistance available for navigation within the venue
