1. The "Unconference" Nature
By registering, you acknowledge that the UCPX Network does not pre-determine the full schedule or speakers. The content is generated by attendees on the day of the event. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or safety of any specific session led by a participant. (see also: What is a Barcamp?)
2. Participation & Recording
- Participation: You understand that Barcamps are interactive. While you are not required to speak, you are encouraged to contribute to discussions. (see also: Rules of Barcamp)
- Media Release: You acknowledge that this event is a public forum. UCPX Network, sponsors, and other attendees may take photos or videos. By attending, you grant us a royalty-free license to use your likeness in promotional materials. (see also: Privacy Policy)
- Personal Recording: Attendees are generally encouraged to blog, tweet, and share sessions, provided they respect the Code of Conduct and any specific "off the record" requests made by session leads. (see also: Rules of Barcamp - Rule 2 & Code of Conduct)
3. Intellectual Property
- Ownership: You retain ownership of any original material you present. However, by presenting, you grant other attendees the right to discuss and share the ideas surfaced during your session.
- No Endorsement: Presentation of a topic at UCPX barcamp does not constitute an endorsement by UCPX Network.
4. Liability & Safety
- Voluntary Attendance: You attend and participate in activities (including physical sessions or workshops) at your own risk.
- Lost Property: UCPX Network is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property (laptops, cameras, etc.) during the event.
- Adherence to Venue Rules: You agree to follow all safety and facility rules provided by the venue host.
5. Code of Conduct (Incorporated by Reference)
Agreement to these Terms & Conditions includes mandatory compliance with our Code of Conduct. Failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct (e.g., harassment, disruption) may result in removal from the event without a refund. (see also: Code of Conduct)
6. Refund Policy
- Tickets are non-refundable, except if the event is cancelled. Tickets may be transferred.
- If you purchased a "Donation" ticket, you acknowledge this is a donation to the organization to support community access and is non-refundable.
7. Data Privacy
You agree that the data provided during registration will be handled according to our Privacy Policy. We will not sell your data, but we may share attendee lists with sponsors if you explicitly opted-in during the checkout process. (see also: Privacy Policy)
